How to Get There?
By Car

Highway
To the north we have the A23 and A28 with easy access to Valença and the A25 with access to Almeida.
To the south, there is easy access to Marvão via the A5 highway.
Spain

The A-6(ES) from Tui to Valença
The A-62/Autovía de la Cultura/A-50 and N332, across the border from Vilar Formoso to Almeida
The A-5(ES) and A6(PT) through Cáceres to Marvão
By Train

The Minho Line gives access to Valença
The Beira Alta Line is the main railway route, at the moment only with access to Guarda, with articulated transfer to Vilar Formoso (14km from Almeida)
The Leste Line gives easy access to Portalegre (22km from Marvão)

By Bus
Rede Nacional de Expressos, FlixBus, Alsa, Avic and Aautna connect the outlying urban centres to the Bastioned Fortresses of the Raia, thus facilitating access to them.
