The Family Space at the Historical Re-enactment of the Siege of Almeida!
The 22nd edition of the Historical Re-enactment of the Siege of Almeida took place in 2026, and with it, the Family Space reopened its doors, offering a range of activities for families with children. Alongside the performance of Bzzzoira Moira by Teatro e Marionetas de Mandrágora on Saturday evening, the weekend was filled with workshops and storytelling sessions.
This year, we placed a special emphasis on the participation of ASTA, the Almeida Socio-Therapeutic Association, which joined us on Saturday and Sunday mornings. In the afternoon, we all learned how to become guardians of light and took part in a March for PEACE, preceded by a visual arts workshop led by Ana Couto and Verónica Calheiros!
As in 2025, the Family Space was located at Terreiro Velho (the former Cheese Market). To find their way there, children simply had to follow the stars scattered throughout the streets of the historic centre.
